Vivekanand endeavours to outstretch and welcome the people of the society who are deprived of certain services and rights. The Social Outreach program aims to help, uplift and support such people by offering services like English conversation classes, computer classes, inspire and uplift by providing self defense trainings to the girls, also we take care of their entertainment by organising movie and theatre shows in school auditorium. The ovarian Cancer Foundation is an initiative to bridge the gap due to lack of awareness. The aim is to empower every woman with knowledge and support to fight the battle of ovarian cancer. We are committed to raise awareness on a national level.
A philanthropic initiative by Vivekanand School is a response to the social calling that caters to the hardships and sufferings of the underprivileged or special-need children. At Udaan, we help these special beings to uncover their latent creativity to become independent, productive and self-reliant members of the society. A group of experienced and caring trainers train them and offer them therapeutic interventions; vocational, occupational and life skills training; music and dance along with regular academic program.
It is an initiative of Vivekanand School to spread happiness and bring a smile on the faces of all the people. This campaign engages not only the young Vivians but the entire Vivekanand family to help the under-privileged community and add value to their lives. Afternoon English-Help-Classes for the unprivileged children. They are guided to understand, speak and write English. The assistance is also given for home assignments.
To achieve a sustainable development goal of zero hunger, Vivekanand School is working with Roti Bank, a non-profit rescue food organisation, to instill empathy, humility, deep thought and responsibility in young minds. The students and teachers bring rotis and dry vegetables/ pickles from home to ensure that the underprivileged section of the community gets a meal every day, making the concept of Right to Food a reality.
To mobilize the young minds of our students to be kind and compassionate with their transformative acts of kindness, the school organises a Langar Sewa which is executed by the students, in which students contribute raw material for langar and also serve the food to the community.
In the pursuit of reaching to the hearts of small children living the life of hardships and bringing smiles on their pallor, Vivekanand School organizes Sunday Movie Show in its large dimensioned Auditorium. The charming and innocent faces not only view the inspiring movies but also experience the comfortable and luxurious ambience with refreshments in between. The auditorium flickers with joyful chuckling and tittering of around 200 kids. A quiz round is also arranged to supplement the understanding and analyzing skills of Kids.
A remarkable initiative by the Social Welfare Council of our school, wherein our dedicated Vivians have partnered with an NGO to extend the gift of online education to eager but underserved children. These young minds, who possess a strong willingness to learn, now have access to valuable educational resources and opportunities, breaking down barriers and opening doors to a brighter future
Vivekanand School empowers girls from underprivileged backgrounds of the JJ Cluster Area through free self-defense classes on Sundays, fostering self-determination, self-sufficiency, and self-reliance against potential threats.
Honour shapes the lives and personalities of people everyday. It is a booster that enlightens the spark and confidence to lead a respectable life. Our school focuses on honouring the support staff too, especially on their birthdays. The Vivians of each class get a chance to celebrate the birthday of one support staff and make the day even more special for them.
